Brussels, February 02, 2005 - Representatives of European Union, United States and The Hague Tribunal will convene by the end of this week to discuss the policy over Western Balkan countries and their cooperation with The Hague Tribunal.
Luxembourg Foreign Minister and current EU President Jean Asselborn announced the trilateral meeting dedicated to Western Balkans.
Leaders of EU member-countries, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Hague Tribunal's Chief Prosecutor Carla Del Ponte will attend the meeting.
During Monday's ministerial meeting in Brussels, EU Foreign Ministers sent a message to Western Balkan countries to fully cooperate with The Hague Tribunal and to put more efforts for arresting Radovan Karadzic, Ratko Mladic and Ante Gotovina.
Serbia and Montenegro must accomplish full cooperation with the Tribunal by the end of March, European Commission said.
EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn said surrender of general Lazarevic is good, but not sufficient sign.
Croatia has not accomplished full cooperation with The Hague Tribunal as well, said Rehn.
According to information available to the European Commission, the whereabouts of Croatian general Gotovina are in Croatia or in Croatian part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rehn said.
This information could prevent start of EU accession talks with Croatia, scheduled for March 17, said Rehn.
